Avero Expands it Genitourinary Pathology Team

Avero Diagnostics is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Jeffrey Brown to its team of Genitourinary Pathologists. Dr. Brown joined our team of pathologists in the Dallas, Texas laboratory on June 31st, 2009.

Dr. Jeffrey Brown received his M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He initially trained in urology at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA but he eventually found his true passion to be in pathology. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, NY, and then traveled to Italy where he was Honorary Fellow of Surgical Pathology for one year at the University of Bologna. Finally, he completed a one year fellowship in GU pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, under the guidance of Dr. Mahul Amin.

Scott Shappell, MD, PhD., Partner and Dallas Medical Director commented, "The addition of Dr. Brown furthers our direction in providing excellence in the area of Urologic Pathology. This is a rapidly expanding division of Avero Diagnostics and we have hand selected Dr. Brown to join our team of pathologist due to his superior skill set in Genitourinary Pathology."
