Avero Diagnostics is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of patients and the physicians who treat them. We bring a patient-centered approach to every aspect of our organization, including our laboratory and research facility.
It’s what drives us to provide unparalleled customer service and improved healthcare delivery. And it’s why we’re committed to collaborating with other facilities to develop novel assays and define their clinical use.
Tom Mattison, MD and Trae Mattison, MD recognized the growing need for a high-quality pathology company dedicated to patient care and customer service. They launched Mattison Pathology, a privately-held, physician-owned laboratory located in Lubbock, Texas. It wasn’t long before the partners had won over the West Texas medical community. Soon after, the company expanded its reach to North Texas and New Mexico, providing services to local physicians, ambulatory surgery centers, and regional hospitals.
Mattison Pathology opened a new anatomic and molecular pathology facility in Dallas, Texas, bringing on Scott Shappell, MD, PhD as medical director and partner. With its expanded test menu of highly complex molecular tests, new research opportunities, and subspecialized pathology services, Mattison Pathology embarked on a venture to provide services throughout the southern region of the US.
To help further the company’s mission, Mattison Pathology began doing business as Avero Diagnostics. Since then, our practice has continued to provide the same services and core principles of quality, excellence, and innovation to our clients throughout the United States.
